This is where you get the best fried chicken. Everything i have ordered here is very good. Waitresses are very talented and helpfull and quick. The owner is friendly and nice. Vegetable beef soup is the best i have ever had.

Coming back home from her Florida home and always have mulkies chicken and breakfast it's a great place to eat don't pass it up. Henny penny chicken. Mmm

I've always passed by this place thinking 'creepy box building smelling like fried chicken' and it wasn't creepy inside, but still smelled like fried chicken. Walking in is a blast to the past, old school diner and older patrons hanging out for their meal of the day by the counter. Booths galore, so many we couldn't decide where to sit. Friendly service, recommended the Denver scrambler to my date. I ordered the 2 eggs, hash browns with a biscuit and gravy. Food came out quick and done well; never had biscuits and gravy, but wow yum! They make homemade pies, date says I must try and he also said that their fried chicken is a must try also. I guess I'll be returning to this place for pies and fried chicken, who's coming along?

Ordered a roast beef sandwich and BLT. Menu states comes with fries and soup or salad for $7.99 each.... Seems highly over-priced for what we received. Sandwiches were mediocre at best. I'm sure their fried chicken is wonderful but over priced other wise.

One of the gems in Rock Island for sure, the breakfasts are awesome from Biscuits and Gravy to Pancakes to Omelets, all are in great quantity and quite tasty. The prices are very reasonable and I look forward to trying lunch/dinner items. The service is also quite excellent.

If you're looking for some good down home cooking and the kind of service that you probably haven't gotten in 10 years (unless you go to $100/plate restaurants), this is the place for you. Mulkey's is known for their fried chicken and well they should be, it's delicious. Don't skip out on the rest of the menu though either. There are a variety of good things. What you won't find here is a modern atmosphere though. The building was built (I would guess) in the 1960s and the last update was probably in the mid-80s. There aren't TVs, there isn't WIFI, all that you can get here is good food and good service. I think that's a great thing, but some people might not. Just a fair warning before you go in.

The best breakfast in Rock Island and maybe all QCA! Homemade pancakes and great coffee make this a family staple. Friendly, old fashioned diner. Good food that sticks with you and servers who remember you each time. Great for lunch and dinner, too, but breakfast is the best! Don't be scared by the outdated decor---Mulkeys is a gem!
